Caring is the thread that connects all the stages of my life.
Before KÔYÉ, I chose a profession dedicated to helping others, in the health and social care sector. For several years, I managed medicalized nursing homes: places where every glance, every word, every detail matters. There, I learned that a fitting presence, an attentive gesture, a genuine ear can transform a day.
Then my life took on a different rhythm with the birth of my two boys. This moment rekindled in me another way of caring: softer, more creative, more connected to the body, to materials, to the trust that is gradually regained.
KÔYÉ was born from this intuition: to create clothes that don't just dress a silhouette, but accompany a woman in her way of living her life. Living with majesty is not about creating distance: it is about standing tall in one's life, with grace, presence, and truth.
THE FOUNDER
Alicia's Perspective
Since childhood, fabrics have called to me. As a little girl, I would accompany my mother to the Saint-Pierre market in Paris. She would choose her fabrics, and I would discover the materials as one discovers treasures: the feel, the texture, the color, the way a fabric catches the light.
Back home, I would tie these fabrics around me, bring them to life, imagine silhouettes. In those moments, I felt like a queen: head held high, free, self-assured. As if the simple touch of a fabric could reveal me, straighten me, give me the strength to move forward without fear.
This connection has never left me. For the major milestones in my life, I often wanted to design my own pieces, like talismans. Certain colors still awaken precise memories, like the azure blue of my childhood travels: a bright, comforting light that still accompanies me.
A French House, crafted between Paris and Barcelona
KÔYÉ was born from the encounter between care and material. A French house, the brand creates feminine pieces in small series in Paris, then entrusts them to a Franco-Spanish workshop in Barcelona, run by a Frenchwoman trained in major Parisian couture houses. Each piece is handcrafted there with exacting standards, patience, and attention to detail.
This manufacturing choice gives clothing another value: that of appropriate time, precise gestures, and more attentive and ethical production, far from anonymous volumes.
